Title undecided. Prologue and chapter one

I'm writing a new Fast and the Furious fanfiction, and was curious if I should continue or not. If people like it, let me know. Chapters will get longer and better.

Title: Unknown at the moment. Any suggestions?
Rating: M/NC-17
Summary: Brian let Dom go, then gave him his freedom.

Prologue

Brian watched the orange Supra speed away, an invisible string tugging at his heart as he thought about how he would probably never see Dom again. Jesse was dead, Mia would be alone, and who knows what would happen to the rest of the crew. As the sirens grew closer Brian knew he was done for; gone was his badge and everything he’d worked so hard to accomplish. He dropped his gun and put his hands in the air mere seconds before the feds showed, sparing one last glance over his shoulder to make sure Dominic was totally out of site. The cars surrounded him, lights flashing, and that was that.

This was the end.

Chapter One

The trial was long. Brian refused to say a word against Dominic Torreto and the crew and the feds began to grow impatient. Every trial date Brian would arrive dressed in his best suit even though it was at least 90 degrees the whole summer; would sit in respectful silence and take in every work that was said to and about him. But every day he remained detached, distant. Finally they had had enough.

“O’Connor,” Tanner was exhausted, sat down across from Brian at the steel table. “Are you really willing to give everything up for Toretto, a criminal, a felon?” Emphasis on the word ‘felon’.

Brian stayed silent for a moment, looking at the large mirror he knew went two ways, curious who was watching and listening. “Yes.” Blunt, and straight to the point. Tanner signed harshly, pressing his fingers to his eyes.

“Do you really understand what you’re saying, Brian? You’ll give up your badge; never have a change at becoming a detective.”

            “I know.”

“They want you in prison, you know, the other police. Think you’ve turned.”

“Maybe I have.” Brian looked Tanner in the eye, face emotionless and empty. There was a long moment of silence. Then, “I’ll take Dom’s charges if you clear his record.”

“Excuse me?” Tanner was startled, jumped up so fast his chair tumbled to the floor. “Now I really do know you’ve gone insane.”

“I’ll plead guilty, do Dom’s time, just…” Brian looked away, took a deep breath look turned to speak again, “Clear his record. Let him come back home.”

            “Are you sure about this?”

            “Very.”

“Brian, I’m asking you to really think this through. You’re talking about prison time, and who knows how much.”

“Tanner.” Brian’s hands were clenched in tight fists, his whole frame shaking. “Do this for me.”

He nodded, then left Brian sitting there alone.
